Iran: confess

August 12, 2 men were hanged in Shiraz.
Daily Etemad reported that the men, Hamed and Zaeem (Afghan citizen) were convicted for rape in two separate cases.

Human Rights Activists in Iran published a list of Kurdish merchants who were killed or seriously injured by security forces over the last weeks.
1. Hamid Ghandkangloo,, from Makoo,
2. July 18, Assad Moussazadeh, from Khoi.
3. Mohiyedin Jal-Bakoo, 50 year from Salmass. Also over the last few weeks, three young Kurds have been shot and injured in the Salmass area.
4. July 29, Jalal from Saghess.
5. Eghbal Bakhtiari, from Ghalam Ghal’eh in Mahabad.
6. July 29 Anvar Eghbali from Hasan Salaran Sarshivi an outpost in Saghess.
7. August 2, Rahim Mahmoudpour in Alan Shahr district, Sardasht.
8. August 1, Hadji, 23 was killed and Loghman, seriously injured in the village Alvatan near Sardasht.
9. August 1 Shahram Shokri seriously injured.

12. Over the last ten days, security forces have raided several border areas in Nosood, Haneh Garmeleh, Marivan, and Baneh, beating villagers and confiscating their belongings.

Tehran Times writes that Wednesday in Zahedan 4 members of the Jundullah were arrested.
The ministry of Information says that the group planned to carry out a series of attacks in Sunni and Shia neighborhoods of the province.

Amnesty International published a statement urging Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to act and institute an immediate, independent inquiry to the torture and abuse in prisons of Iran.
Although reports emerging from Iran allege that both men and women detainees have been raped and tortured in prisons in Iran and Ali Khamenei himself ordered the closure of Kahrizakprison ,said the speaker of parliament that an investigation had found no evidence.

Today began the third masstrial of reformist people accused of fomenting the unrest in Tehran.
Fars newsagency said more than 20 people were being tried, but no prominent moderate politicians were among those.
The charges in most cases wasof "moving toward overthrowing the Islamic establishment, taking part in illegal protests and using hand-made bombs and grenades in protests."
After the charge was read footage of street protests and riots were shown in court.
