Iran: oppression

October 18 the trial against the seven Bahai will be hold.
It is unclear whether the trial will take place on Sunday, or whether it will be postponed again.Their lawyers says that if the trial is postponed again they should be released on bail, as Iranian law requires.
They are accused of espionage for Israel, insulting religious sanctities and propaganda against the Islamic Republic. They also face charges of "spreading corruption on earth."
Several of these charges are punishable by death.

Hamed Rouhinejad is sentenced to death in the post-election showtrial in Tehran.
He wrote a statement in which he tells how he was intimidated and lured into a confession that he was a rioter during the electionprotests.

In Lorestan province is a man sentenced to death for participation in a financial fraudulent pyramidscheme.
The financial fraud by unidentified individuals was 18,464,000 USD and in total 1,200 was named of the convict.

Professor Mostashari, a wellknown theological professor from the university of Qom, is banned from university.
Amir Kabir newsletter says that affiliation with Ayatullah Montazari’s order and his apparent support of Mousavi during the presidential election were the reason for the ban.

Mehdi Mahoudian, member of the informationdesk of Iran’s Islamic Participation Front and member of Prisoners Rights Defense Society,was arrested September 17 and is accused with holding interviews with various media, during which he revealed the names and numbers of those killed and their illegal burial in various sections of Behesht Zahra Cemetery.
During the visit he told that he is under persistent pressure to testify against Amad-Ul-Din Baghi. He is in solitary confinement.

Imprisoned journalist and chairman of the Office of Strengthening Unity, Ahmad Zaidabadi is still not allowed to have visitors. His wife says that it has been one month that they have had any contact with Mr. Zaidabadi.
Zaidabadi is under pressure to sign written confessions prepared by his interrogators.
Although the interrogators in his case had already assigned a release bond last week, Zaidabadi is not released.

Journaliste Fariba Pezhveh is 52 days detained and is still being subjected to long interrogation sessions and she is constantly being subjected to pressures inside the prison.
The interrogators threaten to arrest her familymembers and she is insulted and accused.
She is has not been officially charged by judicial authorities.
