On January 14 , the second anniversary of the death of Ebrahim Lotfollahi was held at his grave.
Lotfollahi, a student at Payam-e Nour University of Sanandaj, was arrested January 5 2008 and after 10 days his family was told he committed suicide, despite reports he has been tortured to death by his interrogators.
The ceremony was organized by his family and Kurdish Students Democratic Union.
According to Kurdistan Rights Watch newsagency security and police-officials surrounded the cemetary where groups of citizens from Sanandaj and some students activists from cities like Sanandaj, Kermanshah, Orumieh, and Marivan were present.
The plain-clothed agents arrested at least 10 people .
Their names are:
Mokhtar Zarei (member of central Board of United Kurdish Front), Mehdi Doagoo, Loghman Ahmadi, Khalil Shahbazi, Seevan Adaak, Dara Hosseini (secretary and members of Kurdish Democratic Union), Azad Lotfuri, Omid Sheikhi.

In Iranshar were January 7, 8 people shot and wounded, when securityguards opened fire at a car in Darzadehshar Street. The driver, Moradbakhsh Kadkhodaei, died instantly.
The car stuck another vehicle, starting a spontaneous fire in which all four occupants of the second car also died. The wife and the two children of Moradbakhsh Kadkhodaei got wounded.
The securityforces left the scene without helping.

In Sistan-e-Baluchistan are 6 political prisoners sentenced to death.
Because this part of Iran is under a tight grip with heavy security there are no accurate statistics on the number of political prisoners who have been sentenced to prison or to death.
The names are:
Abdulrahman Narouei, son of Khaleghdad, Abeh-Gahram Zehi, Abdulhamid Riggi, son of Azad Riggi, Abduljalil Riggi, son of Jan-Mohammad, Naser Shah-Bakhsh, Mahmoud Riggi, son of Nazar.

In the city of Lordgan in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiary Province are riots erupted.
Mehr newsagency reported that 2 people were killed and more then 20 were wounded.
According to the report the riot ended when police acted with more intensity.

PressTV reported that the trial against 16 detainees of the Ashuraprotests will start soon. One of them will be charged with moharebe(fight with god), a charge which is punishable with the death.
15 others will be charged with conspiracy against national security and acting against society.
The accused were not identified.

The Revolutionary Court in Mashhad has at a trial against 11 bahai issued sentences of 5 years in prison and a travelban of 10 years outside the country.
The names of the accused:
Davar Nabilzadeh, Houman Bakhtavar, Sima Eshraghi, Jalayer Vahdat, Roya Rajabian, Kaviz Nouzdahi, Nahid Ghadiri, Nasrin Ghadiri, Rozita Vaseghi.
Also the sentences against Babak Rouhi and Ezzatullah Ahmadian, also from Mashhad, to three years of suspended sentencing for the next five years, were issued.
