Jahan news reports that 8 women were arrested for public unveiling.
After a general call through satellite channels, a number of females publicly unveiled themselves. On this day 34 vehicles that were operated by unconventionally veiled females were confiscated.

All Mourning Mothers who were arrested are released on Sunday and Monday.
Aall Mothers who were not transferred to Evinprison were released after paying bail.
The 16 Mothers who were detained in Evin, were released Tuesdayevening, also after paying bail.
They have an open judicial file against them and can be prosecuted in the future.

International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran reports that the lawyer of the three Americans, Josh Fattal, Shane Bauer, and Sarah Shourd was not able to contact his clients. He told that he received permission to meet his clients, but that his clients needed to sign some forms.
He thinks one of the reasons things have taken too long is that most of the judicial authorities have been dispatched to different locations in order to take care of the recent riots.

Following the day of Ashura were reportd that probably more then 1000 people were arrested. There are disturbing reports about Eshrat Abad Prison about female prisoners inhumanely being treated.
Amir Kabir newsletter reports that on Ashura medical student Hossein Mahmoodi,a nephew of Hojatoleslam Montazeri, head of the Administratieve Court of Justice is arrested. This was kept a secret. Mahmoodi is arrested December 27, and interrogated without access to a lawyer and ended up at the executionlist.
His family knew only where he was after he informed them and they directly contacted Hojatoleslam Montazeri, asking to stop their sons execution. There has been no reply to the request.
The matter also has been reported to Sadegh Larijani, head of justice.
After it was confirmed that Hossein Mahmoodi’s name is on the list of those accused of violence and sentenced to death, some changes were made to the list.
Hojatoleslam Montazeri and other familymembers try to keep this matter secret.

The deathsentence by stoning of Sarimeh Ebadi, 30 (mother of 2 children) and Vali Janfeshani, 32 (mother of 1 child) is confirmed January 6, 2010 by branch 12 of the Court of Appeal in west Azarbaijjan. They both are accused of adultery.
The women are detained in Orumieh and were deprived of the right to select their own defense lawyer.

Filmer and member of the Board of Defence of Prisoners Rights Association Mohamad Ali Shirazi, is arrested January 11.
His mother told that when her son came home, he was attacked by 5 plainclothed agents.
After his arrest there is no news about him or his whereabouts.
