Iran: responsible, accountability, responsibility

According to the blog Persian2English is Wednesday January 6 in the prison of Khoy, Fasih Yasamani, 28, political prisoner, hanged.
Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reports that he was in prison since 2007 and that he was executed unexpectedly and without notifying his lawyer or his relatives.
Authorities refused to hand over the body to the family.
Yasamani was accused of being a member of PEJAK.

The Committee of Human Rights Activists in Kurdistan reports that at the moment, there are 17 other political prisoners on death row in Kurdistan.
Their names are:
Ms. Zeynab Jalalian, Habibollah Latifi, Shirkoo Moarefi, Farhad Vakili, Farzad Kamangar, Ali Heydarian, Hossein Khezri, Rashid Akhondaki, Mohammad Amin Agooshi, Ahmad Pouladkhani, Seeyed Sami Hosseini, Seyyed Jamal Mohammadi, Rostam Arkia, Mostafa Salimi, Anvar Rostami, Hasan Talei, and Iraj Mohammadi.




The Norwegian broadcaster NRK reported that the Iranian consul in Norway, Mohammed Reza Heydar, resigned in protest over the clampdowns in his country.
The Iranian government denied the report.
The radiostation only published a textquote, no audio or video.

According to the conservative website Alef, a parliamentary probe revealed that the former prosecutor for Tehran, Saeed Mortazavi,is responsible for the torture and death of at least 3 detainees in Kahrizakprison.
The website also says that Mortazavi personally ordered to transport the prisoners to Kahrizakprison.

IRNA announced that five protesters who were arrested in December, soon will be tried.
The report did not say what charges the protesters face.
The judiciary said some detainees could face the death penalty.

Majid Tavakoli was tried behind closed doors and the court issued a sentence.
December 7 he was arrested. Human Rights Activists in Iran announced that he was for the first time allowed to contact his family.
He told them that he last week was charged by judge Salvati of branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court for insulting the leader, insulting the president and gathering and spreading propaganda against the regime.
During interrogation he was under heavy physical and psychological pressure.
Two years ago he was arrested also and spent 15 months in jail.
After his release he wrote that the interrogators used 70 different methods to torture him.
