Iran: counting

Womansrightsactivist Shiva Nazar Ahari was arrested December 10, 2009 and is detained inEvinprison.This is her second arrest.
She was arrested shortly after the election and detained for 100 days of which 30 days were in solitary confinement.
She wrote an article entitled: When Going to the Bathroom Becomes a Means of Torture!.

The Coordination Committee to Help Form Workers’ Organization (CCHFWO) published on her website the names of the activists who were arrested in the past days.
February 27, was Fattah Soleimani, member of CCHFWO, arrested in his house in Oshnaviyeh.
4 other members of CCHFWO, Rahman Ebrahim Zadeh, Hossein Pirvati, Samad Ahmadpour and Rahman Tanha, were also arrested in Oshnaviyeh on Februar 27 along with the activist Isa Ebrahimzadeh.
Abbas Hashempoor,laboractivist was arrested March 2 in Oshnaviyeh by agents of the ministry of information.
Additionally, 5 other members of the committee have been summoned to criminal and revolutionary courts in Sanandaj.

Zainab Jalalian was arrested 2 years ago for alleged links to Pejak, an armed Kurdish group. She was found guilty of Moharebeh (enmity with God) and sentenced to death.
The verdict was upheld in appeal in December of 2009 and can be carried out at any moment.
According to Irangreenvoice is Jalalian last week transferred from a correctional institute in Kermanshah to a facility of the ministry of intelligence in the same city.
