Iran: fire

Yesterday the celebrations for the Iranian New Year started with the ceremony of Chaharshanbe Soori.
This is a ceremony involving fireworks and bonfires.
Security forces took extra precautions in Tehran and there were some clashes. Here some videoos.
Ayatollah Khamenei described in a fatwa Chaharshanbe Suri as corrupt and counter to Islam.
The ceremony is an old Zoroastrian ceremony, which involves letting off fireworks, jumping over bonfires, and men and women dancing on the streets. All things that are banned by islam.
Even before the election this ceremony became a way of showing defiance to the regime.
In the past years it turned dangerous as young people threw chuck petrol bombs and other homemade explosives into the fires.

The complete English translation of the yesterday by Ahmad Batebi of the Association of Human Rights Activists in Iran published press release.
March 13 has the Tehran prosecutor announced that people disguised as humanrights activists who supported Association of Human Rights Activists in Iran were involved at Iran Proxy, and were arrested.
The pressrelease firmly denies this.
