The shelling in June by Iran from Kurdish villages in northern Iraq displaced hundreds of people . According to HRW also several people were wounded and got also one girl killed.
Iran denied its troops crossed Iraqi border.

Milad Asadi, a student activist and a member of Tahkim-e-Vahdat (Student Alumni Organization) is arrested in November 2009 and convicted to 7 years in prison.
