Iran: imprisoned


The blog Secular Democracy for Iran collected testimonies and lists of victims, and 54 video's about the humanrights violations in Iran between June 2009 and June 2010.





There is still nothing known about the condition of the arrested Dutch-Iranian christian Vahik Abramiyan .
Last information is that the Dutch government is aware of his arrest and trying to get him released.
The other Dutch-Iranian Zahra Bahrami, 45, a woman who was arrested during Ashura is still in Evinprison.
She is in cell 13 of ward 209 of Evinprison.She is accused of being an MKOmember and forced to make a televised confession.
Her physical condition is deteriorating.





Omid Kalidarnejad a Christian who was arrested with other christians on June 18 is released from Evinprison.
Afshin Vafadaran, Mehdi Karbalaie Ali, Alireza Seyedi, and Fatemeh Tork-kajouri are detained in ward 209.
Yousef Nadarkhani, another christen, is detained in Rasht prison for almost 9 months in an uncertain condition.

During the past months, the pressures on various religious minorities have been intensified in Iran.

170 journalists in and outside Iran wrote a letter to ask the immediate release from Azam Vaysameh and other detained journalists.
Vaysameh, a journalist at parlemannews was arrested May 31 and transfered to ward 209 in Evinprison.


Azad Khanche-zar, a political activist who was sentenced to 6 months in prison and 2 years suspended sentence is July 11 arrested to serve his prisonterm.
According to CHRR the trials of 3 other woman- children- and laborrightsactivists took place.The court has sentenced Mozaffar Roukhandeh and Karevan Darsaid to 2 years suspended imprisonment, while Najibeh Sobhani who has been suffering from severe depression after detention is still awaiting her court verdict.
