Womanrights- and humanrightsactivist Shiva Nazar-Ahari is sentenced to six years in prison and exile to Izzeh, province Khuzestan.
The Committee of Human Rights Reporters (CHRR) reported that she also is sentenced to 73 lashes. The sentences were issued by Judge Pir Abassi in branch 26 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court.

Branch 54 of the Appeals Court upheld the verdict from 8 ½ years in prison for studentactivist Majid Tavakoli
December 7, 2009 he was arrested. The verdict is: 5 years prison term for association and collusion with the intent to act against national security.
1 year in prison for propaganda activities against the regime, 2 years in prison for insulting the supreme leader and 6 months in prison for insulting the president.
In addition, he was sentenced to a 5-year ban of political activities and a 5-year ban on leaving the country.

Journalist and humanrightsactivist Abolfazl Abedini has been beaten up on September 16, in Karoonprison from Ahwaz by a member of the prisonstaff named Ghalandari.
While awaiting in order to use the bath-room and tied up on his hands and legs with handcuff and chains he was attacked with a green rod.His hands and legs are blued and blacked.
Abedini has been sentenced to eleven years of imprisonment.
