In the prison of Varamin is on January 5 a man hanged.
The man, Nazar Ali Moradi (53) was convicted for keeping of 215g heroin and 10kg of opium.

According to Farsnewsagency of January 4 in Zanjan 5 people have been hanged.
The not named men were convicted for drugstrafficking.

The website Jaras writes that Iranian dissident Ali Jamshidi who lives in Malaysia has been summoned by Malaysian police. Jamshidi is one of reformist activists who fled Iran after the elections in 2009.
In Malaysia he’s been a presenter for Rasa, a satellite television channel dedicated to covering the opposition movement. He has also been actively involved in pro-reformist websites and social networks covering Iran.
Lately websites close to the Iranian government have been conducting a smear campaign against the community of Iranian dissidents residing in Malaysia.

The family of Amir Hekmati, an arrested Iranian-American man whom Iranian officials allege worked for the CIA, the televised confessions were fake and made under duress.
His parents also say that they have been forced into silence by Iranian officials who had promised them their son would be released soon. Hekmati was arrested in August 2011 and his first court session was held on 27 December 2011.
