In the prison of Zanjan were on January 4th, 2012 5 men hanged .
Newagency Fars reported the were all convicted for drugstrafficking.Their names were not revealed.

According to ISNA is January 7th in Gachsaran a man hanged in public. The not named man was convicted for rape.

Sundaymorning was womens right activist Alieh Eghdamdoost released.
She served a 3 year-prisonsentence without receiving one day furlough.

Fars newsagency reported that Iranian American Amir Mirza Hekmati, 28 is sentenced to death by the revolutionary court in Tehran for cooperating with a hostile country and spying for the C.I.A.
The court found him guilty of Corruption on earth and Moharebe.
Hekmati was arrested in August 2011 but the news came out in December 2011 when he made a televised confession.
The prosecutor said that Hekmati was trained in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hekmati's family in USA says that he was visiting his grandmother in Iran.

The Iranian minister of Information reported that in connection with the upcoming parliamentary elections, several spies were arrested.He said that were in contact with abroad through cyberspace networks.
