Ali Kafashian, the head of Iran Football Federation announced that women also can attend the Asian Youth Football Championship.
Newspaper Shargh reported that the IFF follows the regulation of Asian Football Confederation. The chairman of AFC says that rules say, there must be no gender discrimination in who’s allowed to attend the games.

The death sentences against 4 men from Cheram, province Kohkiloyeh and Boyerahmad for"lavat", sodomy, has been upheld by the Supreme Court.

An exiled Iranian opposition group said on Saturday that Iran has some 60 scientists and engineers involved in a programme to develop nuclear weapons under defence ministry auspices.Details could not be verified.
