Iran: more October 7, 2012

Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran reported that on October 6 five men have been hanged in the prison of Zahedan.
The prisoners were sentenced to death on October 15, 2011.

The Iranian Ministry of Information has launched a website, vaja.ir which gives the location of secret service buildings in provincial towns.
It encourages Iranians to contact the ministry if they have information.The website also describes the long-running intelligence battle with the West, including the capture of a U.S. surveillance drone last year.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon of UN reports that the economical sanctions have a clear impact on Iran. The inflation has escalated, there is a rise in commodities and energy costs, an increase in the rate of unemployment and a shortage of necessary items, including medicine. In recent days people have protested in Tehran against the fall of the currency.
