Iran: teachers October 6, 2012



As part of the campaign Be the Voice of Iranian Teachers appealed Human Rights Watch on World Teachers Day on October 5 on Iranian authorities to release the imprisoned teachers.
Since 2009 after the elections were in Iran many teachers arrested and partly released.
Mohammad Davari, Rasool Bodaghi, Abdollah Momeni, and Mahmood Baghere are currently serving a total of 24-and-a-half years behind bars on various national security charges including “propaganda against the regime,” “colluding and assembly with the intention of disrupting national security,” and participating in illegal gatherings.
All but Momeni are members of teachers’ trade unions.
Hashem Shaabaninejad, Hadi Rashedi, and Alireza Ghanbari have been sentenced to death on charges of terrorism.

In Shahedan near Ahwaz are 4 Ahwazi , Ghazi Abbasi, Abdulreza Amir Khanafereh, Abdul Amir Mojadami, Shahab Abbasi, sentenced to death by a secret revolutionary court for enmity with god and corruption on earth.
Jasem Moghaddam, Sami Jadmawy Nejad, Hadi Albo Khanfar Nejad have been sentenced to three months imprisonment in exile, in the Ardebil prison.

Saturday , the Iranian foreign minister appealed for the release of 48 Iranians who are held hostage by Syrian rebels.
The rebels threatened with executioning them unless the Syrian army withdraws.
