Iran: water October 9th, 2012



Website Nedaye Sabz Azadi reports that the journalist Saam Mahmoudi Sarabi has been sentencedd to 8 years in prison and a 10 year ban on all media activities in Iran.
He was charged with “assembly and collusion against national security, propaganda against the regime, publishing falsehood and insulting the leader.”
He was brought to Evinprison.

Mehrnews reported that even all the water transporting from the Caspian Sea to Iran's central regions cannot meet all the drinking water demands of the central cities. According to an Iranian geographer people should learn water conservation and water efficiency instead of transferring water from the sea to central deserts.
In april started the first phase of the pipe-laying project to transport water from from Sari to the city of Semnan. The project is supposed to be finished by April 2041.

The deputy coordinator of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on a pressconference that the release of the 48 Iranians who were abducted in Syria, likely is to be obtained through political channels.The 48 on August by Syrian rebels abducted retired IRGC members have been threatened with dead.
