Two of the 37 wounded students at the fire in the elementary school in Piranshahr have died.Three students are still in critical condition.
Activists have released a statement asking the resignation of the Minister of Education over this fire and numerous incidents that have befallen students at schools and school camps.

Activist Mahdi Hamidi Shafigh has been arrested in Tabriz to serve a prisonsentence of 21 months after being summoned by the local Intelligence Ministry.
He had been arrested in September along with 28 others and charged with conspiring against national security.

The securitychief in Yemen asked Iran to stop training and funding Shi’ite Muslim rebels who, along with al Qaeda-backed Islamists and southern separatists, are staging the unrest in Yemen.
The president of Yemen’s National Security Board said that AlQaeda appeared not to number more than 700-800 in the country, including a few hundred Saudis.

The British bank HSBC agreed to pay $1.9 billion to settle money-laundering charges.
The bank is accused of transferring billions of dollars for Iran, despite international sanctions, and transferring money from Mexican drug cartels through the U.S. financial system to legitimize the funds.
