In the prison of Yasouj was January 2nd a man hanged.
The not named man was sentenced for possession of 20050 ampullas containing heroin and 74917 psychotropic pills.

The children of 2 bahaiwomen imprisoned in the prison of Semnan are, according to Iran Human Rights Documentation Center (IHRDC), hospitalized.
Bahman Ehsani, the five months old son of Taraneh Torabi, has an intestinal infection, Rasam Tebianian, the 11-months old son of Zohreh Nikayin, has an earinfection.
The prison authorities had repeatedly denied medical facility.

The daughter of humanrightslawyer Abdolfattah Soltani told International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran that her father was hospitalized two weeks ago for his bad health.
He suffers among other things anemia and problems with the digestive track. Soltani was sentenced to 18 years in prison, exile to Borazjan, and 20 years’ ban on his legal practice on charges of “being awarded the 2009 Nuremberg International Human Rights Award,” “interviewing with media about his clients’ cases,” and “co-founding the Center for Human Rights Defenders.”

Authorities in Tehran ordered schools, universities, government offices, and other institutions to close on January 5 because of serious airpollution in Tehran.
Only emergency and healthservices will work.
Footballgames in Tehran had also been called off to protect players' health.
This is the second time in one month that activities have been ordered halted in Tehran because of air pollution.
