Iran: further March 2, 2013

The head of Iran’s Qods force which has been accused of providing military aid to the regime in Syria, said that if the Syrian regime had a few commanders like the IRGC and Basij leaders who lost their lives in the Iran-Iraq War, it would be "insured" against "incursions".

UN reports that in twin reports U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and U.N. special investigator on human rights in Iran, Ahmed Shaheed, voice their concern for apparent rise of executions of prisoners including juveniles as well as arrests of dissidents who are often tortured in jail, sometimes to death.

Shippingline India’s Mercator Lines announced they will no longer transport Iranian oil.
India has cut back the amount of Iranian oil its buys by some 20%.
