Iran: register

In the prison of Isfahan are two men hanged.
The daily Kayhan writes that Morteza, is convicted for keeping 157 grams crack and Azizollah (35) is convicted for keeping of 132 kilos and 700 gram opium.
The exact date of the execution is not known, but supposedly it was May 18.

RAHANA has published the names and information of 470 prisoners of conscience in 25 different prisons of Iran.
268 of them have been convicted and the rest are being held in prison without any charges.
The ethnic minority Kurds have with 120 the highest number of prisoners of conscience, 101 political activists, 59 student activists, 49 reporters and bloggers and 42 religious minorities, mostly Baha’i.
Evin Prison has the highest number of political prisoners, followed by Uroumiyeh’s Central Prison 34, Sanandaj’s Central Prison 33, and Rajaei Shahr’s Prison 28 political prisoners.

There are 39 female prisoners living in deteriorating conditions of the women’s ward.
Also, 28 political and civil rights activists have been sentenced to death.
There is not enough information as to the condition of 134 prisoners of conscience. In some cases only their names and the prisons in which they are held in are known.
RAHANA reports that the list is not complete and that not the names of all prisoners of conscience in Iran are known.
They rely on the help of human rights activists and groups, reporters and concerned citizens to provide them with more information on the less known prisoners.
They also hope that in the future only the names of released people have to be removed and not, like Farzad Kamangar,Shirin Alam Hooli, Mehdi Eslamian, Ali Heydarian and Farhad Vakili because they have been executed.

Student Alireza Azabad is sentenced to 1 year in prison and 74 lashes on charges of disturbing public order and security through participation in what the judiciary calls “rioting and commotion.
He was arrested February 9 and released on bail, he will go in appeal.

According to Human Rights Activists News Agency HRANA is Habibollah Golparipour who is sentenced to death, in hungerstrike since May 14.He is sentenced to death on the charge of Moharebeh (enmity against God) through membership in an opposition party.
