In the city of Yazd were May 12th, 3 men hanged in public and one was hanged in prison.None of the men were identified by name,but according to the report they all were convicted for rape.

Iran threathened Sunday to allow the transit of illicit drugs if the West continues to criticise the Islamic way of punishment.

Iran: illegal

AlJazeera reported May 11th, that one of her missing reporters, Dorothy Parvaz, 39 , by Syria has been deported to Iran.
Since April 29 she is missing. On that day she arrived in Damascus to report about the protests in Syria.
She has Canadian,American and Iranian citizenship.
Authorities told AlJazeera that she was going to be released the next day.
A spokesman for AlJazeera says that they have information that Parvaz is being held in Tehran.Syrian embassy in Washington DC said she illegally tried to enter the country on an expired Iranian passport.
May 1 she was escorted by the Iranian consul to Caspian Airlines flight 7905 heading to Tehran.The Irabian Foreign Minister says that he has no knowledge of Parvaz’s whereabouts.

The Dutch Foreign Minister said that he is concerned about the health of Dutch Iranian Abdullah al-Mansouri.

May 9 were eight men hanged in Orumieh and Miandoab.
According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) were five men hanged in the prison of Orumieh on drugsrelated charges. Newsagency Koukarian identified 3 of the men as Aref Rashidpour, Esfandiar Mondahaki and Teymor Ayoubian.
In Maiandoab three men were hanged, their names not have been made public.

The trial against Josh Fattal, 27, and Shane Bauer, 27, has been resumed May 11 in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran.
Human Right Watch said today that the Iranian authorities must release them immediately and drop all charges of espionage. Last year July they were arrested near the Iraqi border.

According to reports were nine people hanged in Ahwaz, last week.
Thursday May 5th have been executed in public in Hamidiyeh area the brothers Ali Heydari (25), Jasem Heydari (23) and Naser Heydari (23).
In Karounprison of Ahwaz are Amir Moavi, Ali Na’ami, Amir Badvi, Ahmad Naseri (22) and Hashem Hamidi (16 years) hanged.
They all were involved in the unrests in April 2011 in Ahvaz, where several people had been killed in clashes between the security forces and the inhabitants of an Arab neighborhood in Ahvaz.

Families of of female political prisoners at Gharchak prison in Varamin wrote a letter to the Head of Iranian Islamic Human Rights Commission, demanding immediate attention to the dire condition in the prison.
There are 600 women in this prison.They spend their days in a hall without beds and without access to rudimentary hygiene and sanitation. They have access to only 4 bathrooms and the same bathrooms must be used by everyone for taking showers, washing their clothes and washing other items such as dishes. According to the prisoners there are no regular meal times and prison authorities serve food at their convenience.It has been reported that the prison authorities have beaten the prisoners.
In the past few days, the complaints by the female prisoners at Gharchak regarding these unbearable conditions has led to inhumane and illegal reaction by the prison authorities.
They were beaten with batons and those trying to escape were trampled upon and injured by other prisoners.
The political prisoners are held together with prisoners for other crimes, like murderers, thieves, drugaddicts and so on.

Nabavi is convicted to 11 years and sent in exile at Karun prison in Ahwaz after the election in 2009.
He writes that never before in his life had he heard about, read about or experienced anything quite like it.
Initially the prison was built to house 121 prisoners, currently there are more then 300. The sewage is broke and cockroaches are in the bathroom. When it rains, water is coming into the bathroom and toilets.The prisoners have no access to newspapers or magazines . There are no refrigerators allowed in the kitchen, which measures 3 square meters.

Iran: qisas

A man who threw acid on a tailor shop employee’s face is sentenced to eye gauging and earlobe cutting.
Hamid,then 26, told in the courthearing that he accidently threw the acid at the victim. The victim lost nearly all eyesight and his earlob has burned, also his eyebrows were burnt.
Judge Nourollah Aziz Mohammadi and two councilor judges of Branch 71 of the Tehran Province Penal Courts unanimously sentenced Hamid to Qisas in his left eye and his right earlobe and payment of diyah (blood money), and they transferred him to prison. The Supreme Court upheld the sentence.
